Some of the unmendable consequences of creating a trust on your own are improperly funded trust, tax implications and mistakenly disinheriting a loved one.

We both possess real estate, artwork, cars, investment, etc. we don’t have any children and therefore want to make sure we prepare for each others financial and tax safety in case something happen to us.

What are the possible consequences of doing that ourselves?

Preparing an estate plan on your own might be a great idea, but having it checked by a probate attorney can save you from making several amendments of the original draft. If an inexperienced person prepares a trust document, it can have some unmendable consequences like improperly funded trust, tax implications and mistakenly disinheriting a loved one.
