Hi, I'm in Kentucky and I defaulted on 4 payday loans on 11-15-11. I want to pay off the same and that’'s why I've signed up with a payday loan consolidation company. But I'm still getting threatening calls from one of the lenders. Though I told them that I was working with a payday help company to pay off the debts, they are still calling me. What should I do at this point? Please help.

Tell them that you're now working with a professional payday loan debt relief company and request them to contact your representative or attorney regarding any query. Moreover, tell them that you don't like repeated collection calls and you're somewhat feeling harassed. However, they can sue you after this if they wish.

You should know that your creditors could call you even if you sign up with a debt relief company. It's better to contact the relief company regarding this issue. See if they can sort out the issue. You can even send the creditor a cease and desist letter to stop them calling you.
