I received a collection call today that I owe a debt, which I remember paying off. They say the check had bounced, and so, I still owe them. The check amount was for $200 , but they’re asking me to pay around $900. It’s not even reported on my credit report. They threatened they could sue me if I don’t pay. I kind of doubt that this is a scam. What can I do?
