And one more thing, leaving US will freeze your SOL.

I have got unpaid credit card bills. But due to a new job opportunity, I might be moving abroad for a few years. What I wanted to know is that, can I ditch my debts, since in Europe, my old credit history will probably not matter. When I return back, say after 3-4 yrs, will these debts still be valid or will expire since the SOL will expire by then?

And one more thing, leaving US will freeze your SOL. So, if it doesn't run out by the time you leave, the SOL clock will resume once you return back.

Ditching your debts is never a good idea. It's true that your credit report won't matter when you're abroad. But, the creditors may not be very pleased with the whole thing, and your assets or bank accounts (here) may be at risk.
