I am getting a divorce. However, my spouse and me had consolidated two loans while we were married, and the new combined loan is in my name only. We used to share the payment amount earlier. Will she be liable to pay her share even now?

Since it’s in your name, you’ll be held responsible for the payments on the consolidated loan. A divorce decree can’t change liability. Read the loan papers thoroughly to know more.

However, the court agreement during divorce might order your ex-spouse to pay her share to you or to the creditor directly.
