Does consolidation count as positive information on credit report?

I have multiple credit card debts. My credit score is an all time low. If I try to pay them through consolidation, will that show up as positive information on report?
Paying through consolidation is way better than a settlement or bankruptcy, at least when it comes to credit score. It may not have an immediate effect on your rating, but as you make regular payments through consolidation, your score will improve.
