You can't ask your creditor to write off your debt as writing of a debt is their internal issue. When a debt becomes non-collectable, the lender writes it off. If the debt is 7 years old, it has already crossed the SOL period. Now the creditor/ collection agency can sue you to collect the debt, but they can never win.
