I came to know recently that Private Student loans can't be consolidated. Is this true? I have got two Federal student loans and one Private student loan. Just wanted to know whether I can consolidate three of those together?

You can consolidate your student loans. However, federal and private loans can’t be consolidated together under a FFELP program. Therefore, you may try to consolidate the private loan with the bank from which you had taken out the loan. In addition, consolidating the Federal student loans and the private student loan with a private organization doesn’t make sense, since you’ll lose all the federal benefits.
