If you deliberately disobey a lawsuit, the creditor will certainly get a judgment against you.

I’m ignoring this as I have some credit card debt that i cannot pay. I’m retired, senior citizen, have no assets and just live on social security benefits. I may also file for bankruptcy within few months. I’m not going to get credit any longer in my life so I’m not concerned with my score anymore. What i’m concerned with is of getting arrested. Can I be arrested if I ignore a court judgment?

If you deliberately disobey a lawsuit, the creditor will certainly get a judgment against you. If you fail to respond to demands for discovery, you could be held in contempt of the court, which could even involve jail if the judge is so prone. However, being a senior citizen could not be an excuse for failing to comply with the court orders. Hope this perspective helps!
