Few months ago I went to a hospital for sickness. Their diagnosis said that I was suffering from schizophrenia and prescribed me medicine for the same. But after a few days I realized that the medicines had real bad side effects. I stopped taking them and asked the doctor for suggestion, but he never called me back. After that I moved to another doctor and this time I had proper diagnosis. However, the issue is that the previous hospital is now calling me for the full payment. How can I fight this medical issue? Should I write a letter to the hospital authority to drop the fees as they had misdiagnosed me earlier. Please help with suggestions.

Try n find out an attorney who is experienced in handling cases regarding medical negligence, including hospital malpractice. Leave the rest to him/ her. He/she may even help you get some compensation by filing a case.

Can the second doctor put sown something on your behalf so that you can prepare a strong case against them? You can speak with the State Consumer Affairs office to know your options. You can also contact an attorney for an initial free consultation with your case. I don't think only writing and send a letter would solve the issue. Find a good lawyer to know how you should approach with your particular situation.
