I reside in CA and I’m in the military. Recently a debt collector suing me for an old debt, on which the statute of limitations has even expired by 10 months. I believe that the collection agency is manipulating and even breaking the law. I’m trying to defend the lawsuit with the great tool – statute of limitations. Is there any other law that could protect me from this? Am I protected as am actively engaged with the military?
