A collection agency has been calling me now for more than 2 weeks to collect on a debt. I’m sure this agency has violated 4 federal laws and 2 state debt collection laws. I’m not sure how should I proceed now but I really want the debt to be reported as satisfied. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If you are pretty sure about the break of law, tell them that in writing. The best practise would be to send them a ‘cease and desist letter’ in certified mail with return receipt requested. If they still go on with their harassments, them become liable for a legal action and consequent civil damages. Below is a link to the Fair Debt Collection Practices:
