I had my divorce long back, around 7 years ago. Just found out that my ex has left the country and may not be returning back. Before he left, he has incurred huge credit card debts. I have never had any association with him post divorce. I have a decent credit report now. But, am afraid that I will be dragged into this and it'll ruin my credit too.

Maybe these will not affect your report. But the creditors can come after you to collect the dues. Make sure you don't have any active 'joint credit line' with your ex-spouse, even now. And if any of the debts had been incurred from the time when you two were still married, you might be held liable. Carry all the documents to an experienced attorney and seek advice in this regard.
