I have settled my credit card debt around a year back. But it has been marked as a charge-off. How can I delete that? Since it's affecting my score and will leave a long term effect, I presume.

Yes, charge-offs bring down credit score and it will be on your report for 7 years. You can ask your creditor for a GW delete or a PFD (pay-for-delete). The creditor may or may not allow you the GW delete, even if you pay for it. At least a ‘paid charge-off’ looks better on the credit report.
