Is there a set time period for the creditors to file a proof of claim, when I file BK7? What happens if someone misses it?

Yes, the proof of claim has to be filed by the creditors within a set time period. For the private creditors, the date limit is set at 90 days after the first meeting of creditors in a bankruptcy case. For the governmental claims, the time period is set at 180 days after the court’s order of relief. If a creditor misses the timely filing, the creditor doesn’t get paid.
