What would the trustee do with my mother's property?

I was thinking about filing but one reason has refrained me. I was put on my mother’s home 20 years back and since then I’m living here. My mother passed away few back. I up an appraiser and he told me the value of the house anything between $45,000 to $55,000. Currently there is a loan on the property that is something around $100,000. My mother always had an intention of selling the house and distribute the amount among two brothers of mine and me, but she failed to make a will. My question is if I file bankruptcy since she passed away, what would be the fate of the house? Could one of my brothers buy the house through the bankruptcy procedure? Since this is Missouri, would my husband have any interest in the property?
