Alaska Bankruptcy Exemption
Homestead:
The principal dwelling house of the inhabitant of Alaska up to the maximum quantum of $54,000 which may be filed pro rata by joint or multiple owners. Private Assets: Personal belongings like apparels, handy goods, musical instruments, family portraits heirlooms can jointly be under exempt up to the extent of $ 3,000. Personal Jewelry: Personal jewelry of debtor and the dependants can be under exempted property up to $ 1,000. Professional books & kits: Professional books, equipments and trading tools can be exempted up to $ 2,800. Pets: Pets are allowed up to the exempt of $ 1,000. Periodic take-home pay or benefits: The periodic payments and benefits of debtor up to $350 per week or any benefit monetarily equivalent to it. Motor Vehicle: One motor vehicle will get exempt up to the limit of $3,000. Insurance: Unmatured life insurance and annuity contracts, including dividends and loan amount of 100% but up to the limit of $10,000 on dividend and loan amount.
