If you’re solely dependent on the disability income, you may even qualify for the waiver on bankruptcy filing fees.

Visit the website of the US Bankruptcy court, which is in your district to know how you can file your bankruptcy yourself, or consult an experienced consumer bankruptcy attorney.

If SSDI is your only income and you don’t have other assets and don’t plan on going back to work, you may not need to file bankruptcy even, since you’ll be considered ‘judgment-proof’.
