I am constantly being pursued, receiving calls or letters from debt collectors who’re trying to extract my son’s debts out of me. My son expired last year, and I live on limited resources. Is this even legal? Do I have to pay his outstanding dues?

Your son’s debts are not yours. You don’t have to pay for those. Send cease and desist letters to the collectors requesting them to stop any form of contact with you. If they keep on pursuing you still, that will be in violation of the FDCPA. Seek help of a legal expert and sue them.
