There is no restriction on the number of times a debt collector can call you in a single day.

Can a debt collector calls me 12 times a day. Is this a violation of federal laws?

There is no restriction on the number of times a debt collector can call you in a single day. However, under the federal laws, debt collectors can't make collection calls continuously to harass or irritate you or other people who share the number.

Anyway, you can ask the collector to stop making collection calls.
