My parents were separated and somehow I have unpaid medical bills showing up on my report now. Presumably they had missed some. But that wasn't reported till I turned 19. Will these count as negative accounts too and affect my credit?

You haven't mentioned how old the accounts are. Depending on that, you can either try to pay them off, or settle them. You can even try to dispute them if they're too old. Consult an experienced credit repair attorney if you want.

Yes, they'll be marked as any other negative account and will have affect on your credit. Those were not reported since you were below the age of Adulthood at the time. But now as a primary obligor, you'll be held responsible for the dues.
