You can definitely ignore that if you want.

Successfully filed Chapter 7 and had the discharge last week. Yesterday, we received attorney mails claiming that their client is entitled to receive security interests for the consumer goods. The goods mentioned include some home appliances and our son’s laptop. They asked us for the return of the collateral. Can they sue us if we don’t? Should I consult my bankruptcy attorney again or just let it be?

You can definitely ignore that if you want. Let me tell you this, their claim is legal though. However, if they want the property, they would need to file replevin action on the secured property, and it’s usually avoided since it’s too costly. Besides, filing a replevin for electronic items doesn’t make any sense at all and they know that.
